90% of romanians don’t know the metrics for measuring air quality
60% of students don’t think their teachers are prepared to teach about environmental problems
We are Alacrity Education, a youth-founded NGO, created by young people for young people, driven by the desire to promote high-quality STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.
Our goal is to advocate for quality education and promote it in the most practical and pragmatic way possible. We don't want to remain just an "online publication" or an Instagram account. We aim to organize hands-on activities where interested individuals can practically develop their skills over longer periods of time.
We are a team of 10 professionals with modern visions, motivated to provide fair access to qualitative education.
Our team works a lot based on data collected from the communities we work with.
Access to qualitative education, no matter your income, should be a human right. We are striving to achieve that in our NGO.
A better view for education.
Alacrity Airbox is our latest project.
It is an educational kit that aims to teach high-school students about the environment, programming and networking, all in one kit that provides important CO2, temperature and atmospheric pressure readings. The measuring station is built from highly available materials and recycled batteries and is 100% autonomous after install.
Airbox allows high-schoolers to gain real-world experience in programming and electronics by allowing them to build useful infrastructure together with us, the mentors.
